What Armor?

Ephesians 6:10-11
A final word: Be strong with the Lord's mighty power.
Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil.
How often do we think about “gearing up”, making sure that we are ready for whatever lies ahead in our day.  I don’t think in our modern day lives we relate to what it means to “put on the FULL armor of God.”  Each piece carefully positioned, properly given the attention it requires.  Do we realize we have weaknesses in carelessness?  I rarely purpose to prepare for the battle, although I am ever ‘ready’ to engage.  Which means that although I am conscious of the assignment I have neglected my duties, leaving myself weak and vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy.
Be strong...Be prepared...Be ready...

  1. The Armor of God is not something to be taken lightly. It is a blessing to be entrusted with, yet another gift that we do not deserve. If amazes me the innate ability of the human being to be able to be given something so freely yet reject it so readily. However, it is never my intentions to reject such an amazing offer from the creator of our universe...it is too easy to let life get in the way of accepting gifts. The only answer that I have been able to come up with in defeating such rejection of his armor...is prayer. Prayer is the answer to putting on the free gifts of God's armor. We have to believe that as people of prayer. We will portray the heart of GOD! Worry about nothing but in all things PRAY!!!!!

  2. I think that most often instead of rejection it is simply carelessness. We as a people are so caught up in our own self-reliance that in the speed of our everyday lives we neglect the proper preparations of our walk.
PRAYER is definately the only way to assure our readiness for the battle that is fought all around us everyday.
Welcome to the battlegrounds...glad to see you here.
